Rouseville Population Grows by One for the Weekend

The population of Rouseville saw a sudden increase for the first time in 30 years after an Oil City resident stayed there for the weekend. According to sources, locals were surprised to find an outsider stopping by to request food and shelter for what turned out to be a two-day stay.

"We unfortunately could not offer him anything to eat," says Willy Starved, a resident who only gets a handful of rice every day. "Our rations are very low due to supply trucks going out of their way to avoid our town."

Rouseville has been one of Venango County's forgotten hubs ever since they wasted their last currency on fixing a neighborhood gutter. Now, most people who have to take passage through the town intentionally make a wrong turn and pretend to get lost.

As for the man who stumbled into the town, residents say they have not seen a face like his ever since their town went to ruin.

"I've heard rumors that people in Oil City are slightly less poor than we are," states Mr. Starved. "To see someone with less dark stains on their T-shirt was a complete surprise."

The mysterious man who entered the town left Sunday afternoon. Residents say that it was nice to see the town start to increase its population to give them a sense of hope for the future, even if it was only temporary. Now, the city can resume its crumbling process.
