Mayor Blunders Invades Franklin Thinking it's the Neighboring County

Mayor Blunders declared this morning during a press briefing his sudden urge for world domination. With Venango County becoming the most booming region in Venango County, the Mayor believes expanding the borders through "military action" is the most logical step for Venango County leaders to take. In fact, Blunders is so adamant about this proposed policy, he sent his entire military to go conquer Franklin. Mind you, Franklin is still in Venango County.

The Venango County House of Representatives is furious at Blunders for sending troops to attack one of our own cities. Speaker of the House — the Mayor’s sister — says that all three members of the House are working tirelessly to unanimously impeach the Mayor before he does anything else stupid. The Speaker says that all three share the view that Blunders has to go and have been working for three years to get the required three votes between them to finalize his impeachment. When asked why the three of them have not voted yet, the Speaker stated, "We only have the funds to meet once every six years."

City Council members in Franklin say they are not mad at Blunders for sending troops to attack their city. One council member stated, "Franklin’s own military was growing extremely bored with their useless existence. Seeing Oil City's military was just the laugh our soldiers needed."

Oil City declared victory over Franklin yesterday afternoon. Franklin officials, however, say that they were not in fact "conquered," as Blunders suggests. Instead, they just decided to humor him with compliance.

It is uncertain what the Mayor’s next objective is. While there is potential for him to push into surrounding counties, sources say that the Mayor does not believe life exists past the Clarion border. Blunders even stated last year that "the lack of life beyond the Clarion border means that there are no major cities out there either."

The Venango Republic has just started a GoFundMe so the House can meet again soon.
