Local Man Shocked to Learn That Thoughts and Prayers Didn’t Pay His Medical Bills

A Clarion County resident is baffled after several affirmations online have failed to pay off his medical debt. Cashwell Bleedmore, a part time mechanic and full time liability, states that he genuinely thought the prayers he was recieving from commenters on Facebook would somehow resolve his fourty-five thousand dollar debt to the ICUP Medical Center in Seneca.

"Every morning I would post my financial drama online hoping someone would start a GoFundMe" states Mr. Bleedmore. "When people instead commented that very short but encouraging phrase 'praying' I was overjoyed that they would go out of their way to promise something they probably weren't going to do whole heartedly, assuming they actually followed through. This has so much more potential then sending me a check."

Mr. Bleedmore understands that finances are tight for people living in Western Pensylvania. It's understandable that people would instead just pray the money into existence so that no one has to make a sacrifice for someone in need. As for the people who commented "praying" without actually praying, Mr. Bleedmore says that he is encouraged by them as well.

"Let's not exhaust people by expecting them to do more than their thumbs can handle" states Mr. Bleedmore. "At the very least, they read my post and commented. I can't expect them to actually pray. They need that energy to gossip to their friends about the problems I posted online."

Although the prayers did not pay off Mr. Bleedmore's debt, he is still grateful to know so many people read his posts without actually being there for him. The countless comments, the increased likes, the money someone might actually send without checking to see if he has medical insurance already in place, Mr. Bleedmore is just grateful that posting his drama online has boosted his sense of importance. With the validation he refuses to let encourage him so that people keep giving him attention, Mr. Bleedmore knows that his forced low self esteem will keep people talking about him for as long as they care to gossip.
