Franklin Still Under Siege Despite Victory at Cranberry Mall

It has been a long four weeks since the initial invasion that escalated to County War 1. What started out as border patrol agents monitoring East Crawford changed to complete havoc on the north side of Oil City. Several counties responded to Venango's call for aid with West Crawford sending the largest militia of men armed with Meow Mix. Now, the only thing keeping Venango free from East Crawford tyranny is the siege of Franklin.

Clarion County sent soldiers to Oil City roughly three weeks ago with the objective to secure Route 8. Armed with textbooks from the university, the soldiers decided not to throw them for fear someone might get hurt. Consequently, the East Crawford soldier assigned to attack Route 8 drove them all the way to Franklin.

Venango and West Crawford are responding to the siege by attempting to surround the town. West Crawford states that although their military of six men was driven back by a single soldier, they are prepared to fight for the liberation of Franklin. They have stationed all six soldiers on the Route 8 bridge.

Venango is electing to spread their troops out with one covering 322 at the city outskirts, another one guarding Rocky Grove on the north side, and 9-year-old Timmy attacking from State Highway 8. Timmy's mother says she can drive him to his post tomorrow after school. Although East Crawford has placed a drive ban for the duration of the siege, nobody is following the order.

The Clarion County military has been asked to leave the battlefield. They have obliged to the request announcing plans to go back home. To no one's surprise, they are heading in the direction of Butler because they have no sense of direction.

This battle can determine the fate of Venango County in the war with East Crawford. Four weeks of fighting, and zero lives lost has finally come down to this one climactic moment. It is only a question of whether the nine soldiers can save the city from East Crawford's last remaining military personnel.
