- Reading Between the Wines Fundraiser: Nonsatiracle
The Haskell House featured a fundraiser/food drive Wednesday afternoon put on by the Catholic Daughters of America. According to coordinators, the cause is meant to "fill in the cracks" of community needs by offering services that other non-profits may easily miss. In colaboration with the Clarion Kindness Project and the University Resource Room, the venue was used to collect monetary and non-perishable food donations. The night featured several speakers including the President of Penn West University, a professor from Penn West University, and a local artist named Jake who looks nothing like the guy from State Farm. Donors filled the hall instantly, going straight for the food. Our lead journalist, Jeremy Jetfuel, is still wondering what the spinach dip tasted like. By 5 PM, the speakers hit the stage. We took photos, but unfortunately had to edit the speakers out due to our website’s policy of keeping people anonymous. Below, you can see images of each speaker in a world where they would be invisible. Each speaker reviewed three literary works: Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand, The God of the Woods by Liz Moore, and James by Percival Everett, while drawing inspiration from the texts for the listening ears. By the end of the night, a raffle was held for participants to win prizes generously donated from local merchants. This also included a 50/50 drawing. The purpose of the event was to support the local Clarion Kindness Project and the University Resource Room. Each nonprofit seeks to help the community by providing essential support to families in need. We would like to thank the event coordinators for giving us the privilege of writing this semi-humorous piece about the event. We also encourage you to follow their Facebook pages, visit their websites, and consider offering your support. For the Clarion Kindness Project, click here . - Northern Townships Barely Deter Southern Army From Successfully Reaching Oil City
The Venango States of America has successfully turned the armies of the South away from Venango County's capital of Oil City. After a fierce fight that in all honesty only involved a few spitballs and nerf darts, all of which missed their targets. The battle began roughly 9 a.m. yesterday, when two military members for the northern townships were sent to protect the top of Seneca Hill while guarding their checkpoint. The southern armies caught the Union by surprise when they unexpectedly drove past them. The Venango State's military immediately responded by jogging as fast as they could down the hill. The lack of a car made it very difficult, especially since the hill is pointed to an almost perfect horizontal decline. Military personnel managed to catch up with the southern troops. Because their pickup is the same model of the average Venango County resident. With the bumper barely hanging on by a bungee cord, southern troops state that they could only afford enough gas from the change that was in their pocket. That amounted to about ten cents. Ultimately, it wasn't the lack of gas that kept them from making it down the hill, but the fact that their wheel fell off halfway there. As the Northern military ran down the hill towards the three Southern troops, they were left with no choice but to retreat towards Oil City. The third military member for the Venango States of America just got done with his homework and was able to grab his spitball launcher to meet the Southern troops by the Warehouse Mall at the edge of town. With defenses standing between them and Oil City, and two Union soldiers hyperventilating down Seneca Hill, Southern forces were forced to retreat down Route 62 towards Strawberry Delight, where they successfully made their escape back to Seneca. In a press briefing this morning, Mayor Blunders addressed the community, stating that the war between the townships is an essential part in enforcing the library tax, in hopes that all books will become free. Locals standing by, listening to his speech, cheered with excitement, despite the fact that they've probably never been in a library in their life. Chants rang out, V-S-A, V-S-A, to commemorate the Venango States of America, which was founded roughly seven months ago, under Mayor Blunders' new term. Mayor Blunders has thanked the Venango County military for their brave efforts to face Southern artillery in hopes of preserving the Union of the Venango States of America. We're a little bit confused by Mayor Blunders last thank you to the troops considering that the Southern Army didn't fire one shot during that engagement.
- Nonsatiracle: Venders Featured at Autumn Leaf Festival
There are 4 days remaining for autumn leaf festival, and several venders are enduring the cold weather this week to keep the event festive. Among these venders are several businesses that have traveled far to bring you a variety in food options. The Venango Republic endured the cold weather this wednesday morning, interviewing several business owners to bring you the inside scoop. Our lead journalist, Jeremy Jetfuel, is now frostbitten because of this effort. Here are the vendors driving the Autumn Leaf Festival. Shabby's Nut House Of course Shabby's Snack Shack has an alternative name for the traveling squirrel food. This was the first vendor to stop us on the street and offer us a sample of their items. Each nut was glazed and featured different options. Firstly, a mix of cashews, pecans, and almonds covered in roasted cinnamon, vanilla and sugar. Secondly, the smokey sweet heat mix which features almonds mixed with siracha peanut and butter toffee nut. Finally, the salted cashews and pecans. The owners traveled from Conneaut Lake and attend several events throughout the year. They sell homeade ice cream, apple dumplings, and rootbeer floats in addition to their selection of nuts. More information can be found on their facebook page . Simons Food Concessions Simmons Food Concessions traveled all the way from Pittsburgh and features several food items that one would typically find at a community festival. The owner inheritted this business from his parents who started it back in the 70s. They travel to major events most of which are in Pittsburgh. The food selections which we had the pleasure of trying were chicken on a stick, mac and cheese, buffalo mac and cheese, and pork bbq on mac and cheese. More information of Simmons Food Concessions can be found on their website and by visiting their Facebook page . DeChellis Concessions There are six different stombolis featured at this location inclusive of the original, veggie, pepperoni roll, superboli, meatball, and chicken italiano. The boli's range from 10 to 12 dollars. This vendor traveled all the way from Canfield Ohio and is a third generation company. Fowlers Taffy Enjoy a variety of apples with varying recipes. From carmel, to cinamon, to fudge dipped gourmet, along with a selection of taffy you can chew and struggling to pull out of your teeth, Fowlers is here for you on the corner of N 5th and Main Street. Information can be found on their Facebook page and at thier website . Papa Wood BBQ Unfortunately, the owner of this business was too busy for an interview. But we were able to get a snapshot of the menu. Some of the options available are a pull pork sandwich, brisket sandwich, and St. Louis cut ribs. Sides include mac and cheese, coleslaw, and a smoked baked potato. More information can be found here . Wally Sue's The owner of Wally Sue's was funny during her first joke. We almost offered her a job. That is until she said that she "can't do stand up because she likes to sit down." We withdrew our job offer. This vendor not only features cold drinks, but hot chocolate to combat the cold chill outside. Menu options include apple cider, soda, and water. They traveled all the way down from Erie to serve you in this confined trailer. So be sure to check them out on Facebook . Some random business that was closed when we were there I personally don't understand why food venders don't include their names on the outside of the trailers. Unless their name is Cotton Candy, I guess you'll have to stop by and ask them yourself. You can find them on facebook..... We think...... Zalluto's This dude traveled from Sykesville Pensylvania. He features several panini's that can be seen in the photo above. We would list them ourselves but they are in the photo above. So this justifies our laziness. His competition is his daughter's business across from him..... Sweet Adventure Ice Cream Sweet Adventure Ice Cream is run by the daughter of the guy cooking panini's. Because we do not use real names on our website, we will refer to her with an alias. According to Google, he owners name can be defined as several things including "bitter, beloved, rebellious, or famous." It aparently also can be defined as "a large, level basalt plain on the surface of the moon, appearing dark by contrast with highland areas." We are just going to call her the Ice Cream lady. According to the Ice Cream Lady, the model of their business focusses on a mix of trending and traditional recipes. Primarily, they want to offer items that are going viral on platforms like Tiktok while also offering items for people who don't like trends. You can find more information by visiting their Facebook page and on their website which according to google, doesn't exist. The Original Jam We don't know what a cavatelli is. But this vender went all out with his display. It's like a movie theater vibe that sells food. Unfortunatley, they were too busy to interview. But we were able to get a glips of the main menu options which include several pasta's, soups, deserts, and a cavatelli dinner. For more information, you can call them at 330-788-3976. China Lite We aren't sure if the lite refers to the fact that they packed lite, if they are a dietary chinese food, or if lite is used in the same sense of famous beers that sponsor the NFL. What we can tell you is that the menu offers more than what you would expect from a food vender serving Chinese food. There are a few lomein options, stir fry's, and different recipes for fried rice. Brody's Mac and Cheese This one is very strait forward. Mac and Cheese. We tried to make this interview as formal as possible but the girl running the vendor couldn't stop laughing because frankly.... They serve mac and cheese. What more information do you need. It is delecious and we will give a shout out to their facebook page. The two options we were given were the chicken bacon ranch and the boom boom chicken which are displayed in that order below. You can check out Brody's Mac and Cheese outside of the corner of 6th Avenue and Main Street. They traveled all the way from Punxsutawney Pennsylvania so be sure to follow them on Facebook . Conclusion There are several other venders availble through the 26th. Be sure to stop by Autumn Leaf Festival and enjoy the concessions. While you are there, be sure to also take your kids to the carnival section of town. Depending on how young they are, their faces will light up and give you the best feeling ever. Then, you can deal with them crying about having to leave later.
- Alien Fails to Show at Clarions ALF Festival
The annual ALF Festival in downtown Clarion has shown no signs of the world-renowned alien character so far this week, according to sources. People have traveled from all over to see the famed creature, but have not been able to find him anywhere in sight, leaving us to wonder if he will ever show. People who remember the 1980s character are highly disappointed by the result of the circumstance, with many stating that they came specifically to see the creature after misunderstanding what ALF means. Event coordinators say that if the alien does not show, this will be the first time since 2025. Prior to that, he showed approximately zero times in the years leading up to 2025. Visitors from other counties state that if they do not see the mythical creature by the end of the week, their trip to the ALF Festival will be all for nothing. At least, that would be the case if not for all the venues and attractions that the festival is actually created for. In the meantime, the Venango Republic has searched all through the town to try to find the alien creature who oddly has the same makeup of the type of product you would buy at a puppet store. Because our staff is also fictional, we are the most qualified to find this famed creature. We have had no success. We have searched all through the carnival section of town. We also searched down dark alleyways to see if the alien was trying to hide as he did in the TV show. We searched among crowds who aimlessly wandered, finding ways to waste their money on food that would be cheaper at local restaurants. We also looked on top of that statue depicting a person no one knows the name of, which, coincidentally, is supposed to symbolize something. We suspected that he might be up there trying to contact the aliens returning for him. Unfortunately, he was not up there. We stopped by the university to see if he was doing some alien activity around the sign. The myth.... the legend.... the one an only Loomis jukebox also did not have any signs of alien activity. It did play some really nice sounding black music though..... Just Google Loomis incident.... Finally, we stopped by Clarion Paws, being that in the show, he also likes to eat cats. We just photoshopped him in that picture. He actually wasn’t there. Out of every place we searched, the Venango Republic could not find the fictional alien famous for his role in the TV show ALF. We are led to believe that the Clarion festival that annually draws several people from around the region is in fact not truly dedicated to the creature. If it were, we are confident they would have invited him. Because ALF has not shown this year or any year prior, either he doesn’t care that much, or Clarion has been deceiving us with this choice of name. For this reason, we highly recommend that Clarion consider dedicating this event to Autumn, since it seems like a more relevant concept. By the way. We found a commemorative decoration to our summer intern Big Foot.... Still no Alf....
- Traffic Light Repairs in Downtown Titusville Have No End in Sight, According to Unreliable Sources
The City of Titusville has halted the repairs on traffic lights between the corner of S Washington and W Spring Street after the budget was wasted on four stop signs at the intersection. According to sources, the City was only able to pay off two stop signs and is now in debt to Meadville for a loan that will likely take them 30 years to pay. The two cars that typically cross that intersection once every three days state that they are frustrated with the lack of progress in replacing the stop sign at the intersection. According to residents, the traffic lights were an essential part of keeping traffic flowing for the two guys who go through that intersection. Unfortunately now, they are forced to come to a complete stop every single time they approach the signs. “It is extremely frustrating to not have the luxury of a green light that will grant me the privilege of going through without having to stop,” states Mr. Leadfoot, your typical East Crawford County driver who drives slow despite his impatience. “It takes me 55 minutes to make that 15-minute drive across town. This stop sign just adds to that time. Because I like to look both ways an additional five times when I come to the stop sign. Just to make sure.” The progress on the stoplight is one that the mayor cannot ensure will be completed in the near future. Unlike big cities like New York, where maintenance men are able to repair traffic lights within a day, the mayor states that this repair could take several years. Not because it's any worse, just because the city can't afford to get it done right now. Until the traffic light gets fixed, city officials say that locals will have to deal with the stop sign, or take the other roads, which coincidentally also have stop signs. This major inconvenience is one that experts estimate will stunt the Titusville productivity rate to extremes that amount to practically zero. That’s okay, considering the industry left years ago anyways.
- Clarion Courthouse Defenses Still Stand Strong Against Nobody
The Clarion County Courthouse states that the new defenses outside their building have successfully protected them from the people who weren't really attacking it in the first place. According to sources, the three-foot wall that any average person can easily climb over has managed to keep out invaders who weren't really coming anyways, leaving us to wonder why they bothered to put it up. "I'm so relieved that we have this fence that anyone can easily get past," states Mayor Intellect of Clarion. "In an age with security cameras and burglar alarms and a police station nearby to respond to such unlikely circumstances, it makes sense to have a wall that does absolutely nothing." With the courthouse shutdown having nothing to do with the electrical work, residents are wondering why officials don't just depend on a security system to keep people from breaking into their building. According to experts, it really only takes one camera on each side with motion sensors to tell police someone's breaking in. Additionally, with all the HVAC drama, it's not like that money's being spent anywhere else. "We would rather take that money used for a security system and put it into a fence that anyone can surpass, because frankly, we don't have a good excuse," states Mayor Intellect. "While we are a town with a university who prides itself on education and the success of our college, which coincidentally has lost half its students since COVID, this is one instance where we cannot afford to use logic and save the town a bit of money on fencing." It is probably better that the fencing is up to deter people away from walking on the grass, at least until the HVAC drama is resolved. Although walking on the grass has nothing to do with the HVAC drama and was something people were able to do before the courthouse shut down. Satirical analysts state that it is good to keep people off the grass as it accomplishes nothing. While it is unclear if there is any security technology in the building, we can also say that if there is, that once again proves our point that they don't need the fence because the security technology is in the building. With that said, we highly recommend they keep the fence up because it helps accomplish the task of giving us ironies to write about.
- The Bella Cucina Experience
This is a long overdue article. Bella's was one of the first businesses I featured in an earlier piece about Franklin. The owner has been gracious in allowing me to write satire surrounding her business and even let me feature pictures of Ewoks living in her tree. Right where I left you Now that my schedule has slowed down a bit, it's time to give my honest review. I appreciate this location and I am grateful I am able to take advantage of the opportunity to stop in and get the full dining experience. Note, I still don't know what a cucina is.... Sea scaloppd cakes I never knew sea creatures came with their own flavoring. When you taste this, the initial impression is that the chef implemented some secret ingredient. The menu states that it is just two scallops roasted and served with Cajun. However, if it is the case that the chef added nothing else, then I can only assume the scallops are smuggling in their own sauce to bathe themselves in when the chef is not looking...... I just talked to the waitress prior to writing this sentence..... What I'm tasting is mayo...... Still delicious! Turkey chilli soup Unfortunately, this soup is a one-time thing. According to the waitress, the soup of the day is always changing. So unless they bring this back, me and the people eating right now are the only ones who will ever experience this. You need to get a time machine and try this! There is a bit of tang to it. But as a person who does not like spice, I can say it is tolerable for people of my kind. What really makes this dish special is the umami (a word I had to Google) sensation likely coming from the turkey inside. If Thanksgiving were a soup, this would be your soup, 1620 pilgrims. Pink Splash Martini As one who is getting used to drinking alcohol, the process of learning to appreciate martinis is becoming easier. I include these in my articles not to speak as an expert on drinks, but just to give you an idea of what you can find at these establishments. The Pink Splash Martini is not overpowering with the alcohol sensation. After forewarning the waitress that I am building a tolerance, she recommended this drink and I can say that I liked what I got. It has a sweet, vibrant flavor thanks to the mixture of pink lemonade. I learned from the waitress that this was featured to go along with the Pink Splash event taking place in Fountain Park. On the night that I visited Bella's, the Kirtland Cancer Foundation was to hold an event where they would dye the water in the fountain pink for breast cancer awareness. This drink was featured for the event to highlight the cause. Unfortunately, the event was moved to a separate location, but I still got to enjoy the drink. Plus, I became aware of breast cancer. So it's still a win! Huli Huli Pork Chop My final dish consisted of a glorious-looking beefcake served with a side of mashed potatoes and that stuff my mom tried to force me to eat when I was five. Sorry Bella.... I don't like fried vegetables..... The pork chops I ordered medium rare and they made it to perfection. Although they are a bit crisp and charred on the outside, I wasn't bothered because.... well.... it's meat! The dish features a teriyaki-style sauce along with pineapple marmalade. Apparently, there are also pickled jalapeños on this too. Pickled must mean kill the spice because I did not notice any burning sensation on my tongue. Well done Bella! What did make me feel bad was the fact that I accidentally stained the tablecloth while eating. This restaurant is my idea of fine dining, and I feel like I broke some kind of code by letting the beef grease hit the table. It's bad enough I showed up in a Blobbert Blobfish T-shirt instead of a tux. Now I'm forcing Bella's to become a dry-cleaning service. Poof Blobbert was with me..... Order one of my Tshirts people! Fortunately, Blobbert is a sophisticated gentlefish. So I did not feel bad that his image wore the suit for me. I just felt bad that he also slobbered all over the table clothe..... Oh! And the potatoes were good too! Strawberry Italian Cream Cake Oh boy! The 11 year old side of me is saying "Mommy! I don'ts care if it is loaded with sugar! I wants it!" Fortunately, I'm 31 and don't need my mom's approval to buy my own cake. Plus, she can't say anything..... She's 6 feet under..... The cake is amazing! Just look at it! Pink, red, white, and a tablecloth I'm not even afraid to stain. This cake is worth risking another five pounds for a moment of sugary goodness. The cake features a creamy center infused with strawberry. Hence the name. On the side, you have a dose of whipped cream and another strawberry.... Hence the name..... What makes this cake unique is a puréed strawberry sauce topped off with powdered sugar. This cake truly belongs in fine dining. Selling it at Walmart would be an insult to the cake. Conclusion We had the opportunity to conduct a short phone interview with the owner of this business. Because we do not refer to people by their real names to protect their identities, we will cite the owner with an alias. According to Google, the owner’s name is defined as “an American Viticultural Area (AVA) for wine, or a Scottish dialect word for ‘of all’ or ‘at all...’” We will just refer to her as Ava. Ava opened this business 21 years ago. It started out as a 15-table restaurant and gradually grew into a larger seating capacity surrounding a tree we like to imagine Ewoks living inside. Her son previously went to school in another state but currently works alongside her. She states that “for him to be back home and part of it is the best thing that can ever happen.” Ava is hoping to grow this business as much as possible while also having her son become a part of the future of this restaurant by utilizing his vision and “being with the times.” Throughout the years, Bella Cucina has been recognized by several entities. They were awarded Business of the Year in 2018 and have also received several awards from governing leaders in the county. The restaurant has been featured in several magazines in Pittsburgh and the surrounding regions. It will also be appearing in America’s Best Restaurants with several of their dishes listed. Along with this feature will be an appearance on public television. Ava has a great reputation with her staff, who, for the most part, have been with her for ten-plus years. Her current chef has been working in the field for over 20 years. Each staff member was highly professional when serving our lead journalist. Despite several attempts to break their professional demeanor through Blobbert Blobfish humor, each of them maintained the highest level of etiquette—proving that they can stand their ground against the evils of sarcastic trolls. They even managed to keep their clothes clean while wiping up Blobbert’s slobber on the tablecloth. Bella Cucina holds a Cheers Night every Tuesday between the months of January and April. Proceeds from the themed nights go to help a different nonprofit each week. A big part of Bella Cucina’s role in the community has been their donations, which help support local causes. We know the owner of this restaurant truly cares because she has even given a fictional home to the Ewoks of Venango County in our articles. We’re just hoping she takes a hint for National Star Wars Day and does it for real. May the 4th be with you. Hint... Hint... Thank you to the owner of this restaurant for allowing us to come in and write our review. For more information on how you can contribute to Bella’s food distribution service, visit Bellapa.com. All proceeds go to support Bella Cucina—because they are awesome!
- Local News Anchor Destroys Garments in Clothing Store
The Venango Republic is under fire once again after another one of its staff members walked inside Boho Daisy Boutique in downtown Franklin and chopped off the bottom half of several garments in the store. According to sources, the news anchor, Deadweight, misunderstood a sign that said Half Off Everything and took it upon himself to save the store the trouble. Inside store just before Deadweights chopping frenzy According to the store owner, they had just brought in a new selection of handbags and were ready to feature them in the main section of the store. This would have been their day to commemorate the new handbags, which the store owner estimates could have drawn in millions of new customers. After we inserted that false statement into her mouth, Deadweight entered and chopped up all the dresses. New handbag line for store celebration The owner of the store is not happy with the result of Deadweight's actions. She states that the sign was not meant to be taken literally, as it was apparently referring to a reduction in the store item's prices. The Venango Republic inquired of the store owner what this means exactly. She rolled her eyes and went back to serving other customers. The CEO of the Venango Republic, Blobbert Blobfish, has not announced whether or not he intends to pay for the items that were physically split in two during Deadweight's visit. Blobbert states that the news anchor Deadweight was sent to the store for public relations purposes. By doing this favor to the store, Blobbert believes that he has in fact enhanced the Venango Republic's relationship with Boho Daisy Boutique, and that the owner needs to stop being so angry for something she's actually happy about. So far, the amount of items Deadweight has cut in two amounts to roughly $54.72 — give or give $3,000. The Venango Republic does not intend to spend a penny more than what they do not intend to spend. So far, the Venango Republic has not decided whether or not to reveal that they do not intend to spend more than zero. As for Boho Daisy Boutique, the remaining garments that have been split in two have still gone unsold ever since Deadweight's departure. The Venango Republic is forced to assume that customers observed the owner's reaction and chose not to purchase the fine quality of product Deadweight left behind. Of course, it could also be that we just destroyed the quality of the product so that nobody wants it. But let's not jump to crazy conclusions.
- Weather Threatens to Wash Out Autumn Leaf Festival With Rainstorm; Locals Forced to Take Shelter
Residents were forced to take shelter mid-Sunday afternoon after a rainstorm threatened to end Autumn Leaf Festival. According to sources, residents were hoping to enjoy a nice sunny day when all of a sudden raindrops began to fall from the heavens. "I was afraid for my life," states Mr. Drama Queen, a resident of Clarion County, who likes to spend time at the most dramatic bars. "It began to sprinkle, and I was afraid my skin might melt as a result." Officials are warning residents to stay indoors until the last cloud is cleared from the sky. Others, however, state that they cannot allow this tyranny to go on and that fear is the weather's greatest weapon. "I've already bought an umbrella," states Miss Exaggerate Circumstance. "I want to send a message to the weather that I am not afraid, and that I will stand up to this tyranny. I don't know who is controlling the clouds, but I refuse to let them rain over our land." Other locals also say that they refuse to be under the weather, with many demanding the political powers to fight against the cloud with every resource they have available. Unfortunately, the only thing the town has to throw is a few tomatoes, but nobody has the arm strength to reach that high. Event coordinators have not announced whether or not they plan to continue festivities throughout the week. The Clarion County military states that they will be putting up defenses to help shield people against the water, form of fire, and brimstone. In the meantime, locals are encouraged to buy as many water deterrent products as they possibly can and to prepare for future attacks.
- News Readers Can't Decide If Shoes Should Be Stolen
Subscribers to ExploreClarion and ExploreVenango seem to be divided on whether or not shoe thieves should be offered empathy for their crimes. Of course, it could be that people make assumptions based upon where the shoes are stolen from. In a recent article , we mocked the comment section of an ExploreClarion story covering a woman who traded her shoes at a Goodwill store. The comment section was filled with people who assumed the woman was poor and needed the shoes. Because we all know that your grandmother, who saved for retirement, never shops at Goodwill. Comments defending so plentiful, we can't even fit them in this collage. Several of the commenters offered to buy the woman’s shoes in hopes that Goodwill would not press charges against her. Oddly, not a single commenter thought to offer the woman a job, which goes a long way in helping her buy more than just shoes. We were given no information on whether this woman even needed the shoes that she took. The article said she drove a car that had gas in it, but we all assumed she was some poor woman living on the streets—proving once again that people jump to conclusions without having their entire story backed up by facts. Now, just a couple weeks later, the sister media outlet to ExploreClarion has reported that there is a boot bandit among us who robbed an expensive pair of boots in a retail store. In this case, however, people are treating it like a joking matter. Because we all know that a person who tries to steal an expensive pair of boots from a retail store with winter coming is not poor and living on the streets. Poor people only steal shoes from Goodwill. And they’re always sure to leave the ones that they’re wearing behind. We love the jokes. But where are the empathizers? Nobody in the comment section of ExploreVenango offered to buy this man’s pair of shoes. We aren’t sure why. I mean, Venango is just one county over. Does a few miles really separate the empathetic souls from the pricks? We don’t think so. When you consider the value of each pair that was stolen, it makes more sense to suggest that the comment section of both ExploreClarion and ExploreVenango are cheap. “She stole a pair of used shoes priced at $3.99 from Goodwill? She must be poor. I’ll pay for them.” Contrast that with “He stole boots worth $119.99? Poor people never steal expensive things. Let’s just joke about it.” That’s right. People really don’t like to make sacrifices when it comes in sacrificial doses.
- Boy With Down Syndrome Scores 13 Safeties Thanks To Make A Wish
A local football team tried to fulfill the wish of a child with down syndrome. Unfortunately it ended badly with with the boy suffering a broken arm and three cracked ribs. It was the second half of the game and the coach elected to put young Bruce Jennee Transition in at full back. At the snap of the ball, Mr. Transition was immediately stopped and slammed on the field by three defensive linemen. He suffered this fate 13 more times before the coach realized this is not exactly what he wished for "The boy simply wished for an opportunity to play football." States the chairman of the local Make A Wish Foundation. " Had he specified that he actually wanted to score a touchdown without anyone tackling him, we could have made accommodations for that. Unfortunately he did not give us those details." Right now, the young boy Mr. Transition, is in the hospital suffering some minor brain injury. Doctors are trying to confirm if these injuries came about as a result of the football game.
- Gen Z Mistake: Applefest Pie Table Features Iphones Baked Inside
"It was an honest mistake!" States Autumn Bidleberry, a local Gen Zer who learned how to cook yesterday. After several months of preparation, promotion, and public anticipation, the first day of Applefest ran into an unexpected surprise when someone bit into their pie and accidentally discovered... Potatoes. That's not the only unexpected twist. Another man discovered an Iphone 7 with a Chat GPT bot open and instructed to set it's temperature to 400 degrees. Locals are calling this the most innovative Apple release since they stopped including chargers. "We typically pride ourselves on having the best pies when compared to pies that aren't good." States Mildred Middlechild. "I just can't believe someone would put an Iphone inside one of them and call it an actual recipe." Ironically, the phone even commented how stupid the idea was. In a press briefing today, it expressed gratitude for being rescued before being baked to death. As for the girl, she has been asked not to touch pies or phones ever again.
