  • Clarion Power Outage Results in Leaves Town With Nothing to Do

It is the scariest night residents have had in years. A power outage following a mysterious "pop" has social media in speculation as to what is causing all the confusion. "There was a slight flicker, and the power was out." States Genetic Mutation of Clarion County. Residents were quick to post their concerns to social media, expressing how the outage has impacted their ability to sleep. One person noted that he is unable to sleep knowing that the outage gives his house no power for him to turn off the lights. Another woman expressed concerns that her ability to ruin her eyes with endless scrolling in the dark would be delayed with no power to charge her phone. Blindness is an end goal for many locals who have a difficult time seeing facts clearly anyway. Just go to any bar and hear the gossip.... There's still no clarity on what caused the outage. Speculation ranges from sabotage to electric abhorrent ghosts. With the pop and flickering lights being the only clues, investigators say the only suspect at this time is a power failure. No, that is not in reference to university officials.

  • Washington County Power Grid Stuck in 1776

Washington County Congress met today to discuss the dilemma surrounding the power grid controversy. According to sources, a shortage of power capacity currently conflicts with the demand for more electricity. Rising demands may put a strain on the power grid in such a way that locals will be forced to live as settlers. So far, congress members have achieved nothing in the debate because they still are confused about which one of them is Mayor George Washington, and which members are just plain George Washington. The confusion did not delay the discussion as voting can still take place after they figure out which Washington is which. Washington County Congress debating who is who Proposals were made to produce electricity during thunderstorms. Benjamin Franklin, a local kite enthusiast, discovered that one can capture electric charges by tying a key to a kite and flying it during a thunderstorm. Unfortunately, Benjamin Franklin has been unable to demonstrate how this works because the last storm killed him. Benjamin Franklin just before his death Mayor George Washington of Washington Township, capital of Washington County, visited the Washington County Power Grid. Certified electrician, George Washington, who oversees the Washington County Power Grid, told Mayor George Washington that they are doing everything possible to keep the electricity functional. President, Mayor George Washington, visits the Washington County Power Grid Unfortunately, more than 17.76 percent of the county is now without power. They are currently using candles to keep warm for the remaining days of winter. Washington family of Washington Township in Washington County washing a candle With no end in sight, locals are considering an impeachment of their county president, Mayor George Washington, who could potentially be replaced by his vice president of Washington County, Vice Mayor George Washington. Other possible replacements include George Washington of Washington County, George Washington of Washington County, George Washington of Washington County, and Jake from State Farm.

  • Mayor Blunders Increases Tariffs On Pittsburgh to 50 Percent

"We are going to get the Gulf of Venango," Mayor Blunders told the press as he hammered his fist. "OUCH!" were his final words before medical aid came for his broken hand. One year ago, Mayor Blunders of Oil City signed an executive order to have the Allegheny River changed to the Gulf of Venango. Unfortunately, Allegheny County holds the rights to the name. Blunders has imposed tariffs on Pittsburgh for more than a year with no payment received, primarily because we don't trade with Pittsburgh anyway. "They have nothing to offer us," Mayor Steelhead states. "I like Blunders as a person. I really do! But Pittsburgh has achieved so much that we just can't name the river after a declining county." Blunders was put off by hearing this. So much so that as of this morning, he has increased the tariff percentage to 50 percent on all imports and exports. "I try to make Blunders think this is working because he is such a good personality," Steelhead told the press. "When I pass through Venango to get to Erie, I sometimes stop for a McDouble and pay the extra 'tariff' so he thinks it's working." At some point, Steelhead says that Blunders needs to stop calling his office. The secretary states she is tired of deleting his voicemail messages. Steelhead now regrets sharing this detail, however, realizing that now the calls will probably be used in place of a tariff.

  • Erie Residents Struck with Pizza Dough: Pizza Cartel Investigated

Another incident involving pizza attacks has resulted in five residents being hospitalized for their over-dramatized reactions. According to reports by the Erie Horror, a drive-by dough slap resulted in several locals being hit in the face with pizza dough roll-ups. The pizza cartel has not taken credit for the recent tossing. However, investigators state that the method of attack points to one Margarette Diesel Myarmsweak, who heads the pizza cartel in Erie. Myarmsweak's pattern of vicious pizza altercations has led authorities to believe that she is the only one daring enough to be this stupid. Authorities say that the particular method of tossing uncooked pizza dough at citizens is slightly different from the pizza explosives used by the cartel in the past. Nonetheless, the brand of dough found at the scene of the crime matches what was used in every detonation linked to the cartel. Margarette Diesel Myarmsweak has not addressed the press regarding the recent drive-by pizza attack. Due to her history of rambling uncontrollably in a manner that resembles a nonsensical madwoman, reporters say that they are relieved not to have to take a statement from her. The victims of the drive-by pizza tossing are currently in remission. Experts say that had they been slapped by a tortilla, they would have been twice as shaken by the traumatic experience. Fortunately, they came away with no injuries because pizza dough is incredibly soft.

  • Titusville Mayor Vows He Will Return with More Forces

With Venango County forces successfully eradicating the East Crawford military, the ongoing conflict is far from over. East Crawford has formed an alliance with Warren County and still has a hold on the industrial city of Marienville. Meanwhile, Mayor Dumbdumb of Titusville, capital of East Crawford County, says that he plans to raise more troops to invade Venango County in twice the numbers as the two he sent before. Unfortunately, everyone residing in East Crawford is over 75 making them too old to serve. President Mayor Blunders of Oil City, capital of the Venango States of America, has announced plans for a draft to help deter East Crawford's potential future invasions. Unfortunately, Mayor Blunders says that he is not an expert in knowing how to create a draft outside, given that unpredictable weather conditions can quickly change the air quality in ways that one can easily control indoors. President Blunders tries to create draft outside using City Hall conditions West Crawford has already withdrawn four of their six troops from Venango County, suspecting the possibility of an invasion to their eastern front. Mayor Dogfood of Marionville states that the war with East Crawford is one they do not take lightly, despite West Crawford not being the first target on Mayor Dumbdumb's list. The West Crawford military is researching upgrades to their weaponry, given that the Meow Mix they used in the recent conflict did not seem to cause any damage at the enemy lines. Jefferson County played a minor role in the first chapter of this county war. Mayor Phil of Punxsutawney announced that he will be sending aid to Forest County for the hopeful liberation of Marienville. Several weeks ago, two troops from East Crawford marched into Marienville, setting up lawn chairs in the city center. Despite residents still having the ability to drive to and from work, they consider the military men an eyesore, destroying the quality of their less-than-forsaken community. Members of the Pennsylvania Land and Treaty Organization are discussing what contributions must be made to drive the enemy back into Warren. As for Mayor Dumbdumb of Titusville, the loss of Venango County territory is a major blow to his reputation as president of East Crawford County. The Pennsylvania Land and Treaty Organization can be certain that this is not the end of the war between the counties. Mayor Blunders of Oil City announced today on the steps of the outhouse that western Pennsylvania must come together to help end this conflict for the good of the entire world, and even beyond, to the borders of western Pennsylvania.

  • Venango County Liberated: Battle of Franklin a Success

Business owners witnessed the most unusual event to ever take place in downtown Franklin as Operation Free Liberty Street took hold. At about 8:30 a.m. Monday morning, soldiers moved in from every direction, surrounding the East Crawford troop who had laid siege to the city, armed with only spitball launchers and muffin hand grenades. The battle was a struggle for both the Allies and the Axis of Western Pennsylvania. The East Crawford military man, still unaware that his comrade was swallowed by a pothole in Cranberry, stood his ground, launching saliva artillery toward the enemy soldiers surrounding him. He managed to repel his attackers countless times while hiding behind a table just outside of Smoke Cantina. West Crawford troops were little help in the battle, due to their Meow Mix having no potency compared to the disease-filled spitballs. Several attempts left three West Crawford troops wounded, with one of them saying that he was mourning the loss of his paw. West Crawford troops retreat from spitfire Laurel and Hardy, from the Venango County military, were separated for the first time in their military careers, with one covering the Rocky Grove section of town, and the other covering the bridge on 322. As they converged, using smoke signals to communicate, Hardy crept up the thin alley next to Smoke Cantina, where he spooked the East Crawford troop up the street to the Trails to Ales seating. Despite repelling the East Crawford troop, Hardy was struck in the face with a muffin hand grenade thrown by his own comrade, Laurel. He was knocked out cold in an overly dramatized fashion. Laurel tended to his aid and pulled him back to safety inside the Iron Furnace Donut Shop. He was given immediate treatment with the purchase of a latte and cinnamon bun. Stan Laurel comes to Oliver Hardy's aide during skirmish No military remained but one 9-year-old Timmy, who stood as the last hope for Venango County and the Venango States of America. Timmy was given the advantage of being given a mask by his mother when she dropped him off on the far side of town on the route leading to Barkeyville. Timmy ran down the hill as fast as his childlike body could carry him. After catching his breath for 20 minutes, he traveled through the town wearing his N95 mask in case he was struck by a spitball. When coming face-to-face with the East Crawford soldier, Timmy did not run and hide, but bravely ran through the artillery being shot toward him. Experts cannot determine if the spitball struck him, given that his military uniform is waterproof. Consequently, Timmy managed to come within five feet of the East Crawford soldier, where he lowered his mask and blew a spitball straight into the jaw of the armed assailant. Witnesses say that Timmy did not stop there, but managed to fire three more, some of which entered the throat as well. Medics arrived, but the East Crawford soldier is said to have instantly died of COVID. Little Timmy running in the line of fire It was a treacherous month for the newly formed Venango States of America. In less than a year of its existence, the country had survived two invasions by East Crawford, this time thanks to the bravery of 9-year-old Timmy, who we could not allow to die of COVID due to potential backlash. In recognition of the bravery of the three military men who make up the Venango County Army, Mayor Blunders awarded each of them the Venango States Medal of Honor, which once again is just a flimsy coupon to McDonald's, offering 10% off their next purchase. Slimmed down Laurel and Hardy at today's ceremony The war is not over yet, with Warren and Forest County still at odds, and East Crawford currently holding the industrial city of Marionville hostage. In time, it will be a question of whether the Pennsylvania Land and Treaty Organization will band together to drive the enemy from the neighboring counties. Venango has survived. We owe a great thanks to West Crawford, and no thanks to Clarion, who is pretty much useless in this war. The success of ending the conflict will depend on whether the United Counties will take action in ending the evil that is Mayor Dumbdumb. Disclaimer, Mayor Dumbdumb is a fictional character, not based on whoever is currently running Titusville. We're sure the real guy is a really nice dude. We just had to pick a region to represent Russia. Sorry, Titusville.

  • Israel Forced to Stop Attacking Iran Thanks to Erie Protesters

It is an unbelievable turn of events thanks to a protest that seemed insignificant. When nine protesters showed up to the corner of Peach and Metz Street, they didn't expect anyone to take them seriously. That is, until one driver passing by had connections you would not expect. Fortunate for everyone in Iran, their signs changed his mind. "I have dealt with so much shame over this sudden war," says the man who has the power to end it. "It wasn't until I saw the sign that says I should stop funding Israel's war that I realized what these people mean. I am just happy I drove through Erie instead of a place like LA. I doubt I would have heard this message there!" As of Sunday, the entire war ceased, and people went home to be with their families. Additionally, Donald Trump was inspired to step down from his presidency thanks to the minimal effort put into that impeachment sign. "I just saw the PVC and thought to myself 'yeah... it's time for someone else to give it a go...,'" states Donald Trump, who has also encouraged Vance to do the same. The protesters in Erie are being praised for doing the hard thing by protesting in a place you would not expect to make a difference. Thanks to their sacrifice, Mayor Paranoia of Erie is extending to them the county's official Medal of Cowardness, given they did not drive to a bigger city to face police brutality. Way to go!

  • Local Journalist Destroys Town After Ignoring AI Photo Warning

A local journalist is facing backlash after continuing to use AI-generated photos for his satirical news content. According to sources, Jeremy Jetfuel from the Venango Republic ignored warnings from a fountain of youth who suggested that the world was being harmed by such actions. Instead of educating Jetfuel on the subject, she did what every person does when you want someone to listen to you; she shamed him for his lack of understanding of what she was talking about. Jetfuel decided not to allow the woman to get on his nerves and instead did what he does best; he added fuel to the fire by generating more images. Unfortunately, they turned out to be disastrous as the first image he requested was a town on fire. Jetfuel commented in the most empathetic way he knew how. He didn't stop there. His follow-up post took things to whole new levels when he asked AI to generate an image of the town completely turned to ash. He once again expressed his sympathy over the situation. The damage was beyond repair. The buildings of this fictional community are gone, fake lives are lost, and Jetfuel is to blame. How much worse can it get? At this point, the founder and CEO of the Venango Republic had enough. Blobbert Blobfish stepped in to address the issue. Blobbert is right. The fountain of youth is also right. AI makes things worse in the fictional world. But Jetfuel always tries to see the silver lining. He has lived in Venango County for almost 9 years now. Every silver lining has a dark cloud around it As for the arguments coming from the fountain of youth, we conducted our research using AI because it's funny to show others how little power they have in dictating your rights. By requesting reliable sources to back up it's claims, we could determine that data centers are also heavily used by Facebook users, such as the person shaming us for making images with AI. Additionally, her claim that data centers are buying up too much farmland is also flawed. We have resources to back this up, but for simplification, here are the numbers in pictures generated by AI. Courtesy of the Census of Agricultural Courtesy of Forbes Courtesy of the Global Carbon Project and other related sources Oops! OH CRAP! The Venango Republic regrets to inform you that our AI pictures have destroyed the planet. You are technically dead, which, when you think about it, probably is best for the universe. I mean think about it. We want to save the planet despite all the horrible things nature does..... Cats eat the faces of their owners corpses, venus fly traps show no mercy to bugs, and we as a species breeded Hitler.... That's right! He didn't spring up out of a cactus plant. Two human beings got together and said "let's get a little action...." BOOM! HITLER! We might want to rethink this whole preserve the planet thing until we are certain we can improve everything about it. Just saying!

  • Mayor Steelhead Officially Bans Diapers as a Citywide Ordinance

The City of Pittsburgh is under a citywide diaper ban after several instances prove the substance to be fatal. According to sources, Pittsburgh residents are reporting close encounters with "psychotic attackers" attempting to throw them at people. Diapers have been the subject of controversy for several weeks ever since Warren County attacked the industrial city of Tionesta by dropping diapers from drones. The town has taken weeks to recover and says they are working to produce diaper technology to help their cause in the County War effort. Others however, are requesting a complete ban on the use of diapers in county warfare, calling it an inhumane military tactic. "Diapers are a dangerous substance that every county government should be taking seriously." States Mayor Phil of Punxsutawney. Mayor Phil leading a rally on Punxsutawney So far, the only mayor in the western Pennsylvania region to place such a ban on diapers is Mayor Steelhead of Pittsburgh, who is calling on all governments to do the same. "I may have a body built like a tank," states Mayor Steelhead, "But even I know that this item is not safe for the public." The fight to stop the diaper cartel will not be an easy one at that. Pittsburgh is the largest city in western Pennsylvania, making it the diaper capital of the world, and potentially even western Pennsylvania. Allegheny military are doing everything possible to crack down on the cartel with stores like Dollar General being suspected of distributing the most. Meanwhile, the United Counties will be meeting once again to discuss the matter thoroughly. Mayor Dambuilder of Beaver County states that he is in full support of the efforts to ban diapers altogether. Mayor Dambuilder marches in Beaver County "This is not a time to be divided." Dambuilder told the press. "Gangs are running rampantly using these horrible weapons in major cities across the vast region of Western Pennsylvania." Diaper tosses have become a real concern, with people fearful about going out into public for fear they might get hit. Diaper tosses last Saturday leaves entire bar devastated No data is available as of yet to determine if the ban will have any impact. Officials say the success of this ban depends entirely on the cooperation of residents. The message is clear. "Don't use diapers." Whether the public will resist the urge is another story.

  • Franklin Still Under Siege Despite Victory at Cranberry Mall

It has been a long four weeks since the initial invasion that escalated to County War 1. What started out as border patrol agents monitoring East Crawford changed to complete havoc on the north side of Oil City. Several counties responded to Venango's call for aid with West Crawford sending the largest militia of men armed with Meow Mix. Now, the only thing keeping Venango free from East Crawford tyranny is the siege of Franklin. Clarion County sent soldiers to Oil City roughly three weeks ago with the objective to secure Route 8. Armed with textbooks from the university, the soldiers decided not to throw them for fear someone might get hurt. Consequently, the East Crawford soldier assigned to attack Route 8 drove them all the way to Franklin. Venango and West Crawford are responding to the siege by attempting to surround the town. West Crawford states that although their military of six men was driven back by a single soldier, they are prepared to fight for the liberation of Franklin. They have stationed all six soldiers on the Route 8 bridge. Venango is electing to spread their troops out with one covering 322 at the city outskirts, another one guarding Rocky Grove on the north side, and 9-year-old Timmy attacking from State Highway 8. Timmy's mother says she can drive him to his post tomorrow after school. Although East Crawford has placed a drive ban for the duration of the siege, nobody is following the order. 9 year old Timmy's mother drives him to his last military assignment The Clarion County military has been asked to leave the battlefield. They have obliged to the request announcing plans to go back home. To no one's surprise, they are heading in the direction of Butler because they have no sense of direction. Battle field layout This battle can determine the fate of Venango County in the war with East Crawford. Four weeks of fighting, and zero lives lost has finally come down to this one climactic moment. It is only a question of whether the nine soldiers can save the city from East Crawford's last remaining military personnel.

  • East Crawford Soldier Swallowed by Pothole: Military Marches Toward Franklin

County War 1 may finally be turning in favor of the Pensylvania Land and Treaty Organization. Half the East Crawford military invading Venango County is officially neutralized after one soldier fell into a pothole outside the Cranberry Mall. This makes two times this has happened since last summer. Entrenched in the potholes of the Cranberry Mall were West Crawford troops who were previously warned of the dangers. Venango County potholes are much like glaciers. When you fall into them, you could wind up hundreds of feet beneath the surface. Fortunately for the Allies, the single troop that pushed Venango supports back into the heart of Cranberry met this fate when he failed to surpass every pothole. This seems like a dark twist, but we can assure you that it isn't because the East Crawford troop who fell into the pothole is not real. So you can't shame us for killing him if he was already dead. Mayor Blunders of Oil City, and self declared president of Venango County, says that he is pleased with the hard work his soldiers have put into saving the county. Military personnel are set to march onto Franklin in an attempt to regain lost territory that the Clarion County military failed to defend. Soldiers said goodbye to their wives and children, armed themselves with spitballs, and began their march down 322. They are expected to arrive by morning.

  • Pittsburgh Bar Bans Performer for Placing Diapers on Tables

A bar owner in Pittsburgh is facing backlash after allegedly banning a performer for being funny. According to witnesses, Mr. Eyeabhor Diapers of Pittsburgh, lost all sense of what is worth losing his cool over when he told a brilliant musical comedian he could not return. The performer was there for roughly four hours periodically doing musical comedies such as his rendition of Michael Jacksons Mr. Clean is Not My Scrubber, and Maren Morris's Why Did You Just Beat Me With A Griddle. The audience was in laughter, widely requesting more daring and unexpected brilliance. After his last song called Change Your Baby, a parody of Carly Rae Jepsons Call Me Maybe, the owner allegedly told the performer he was banned because of the unwritten rule not to hand clean diapers to customers. 6 people were pronounced dead at the scene by nobody. "I was incredibly shocked." Says the performer. "I really toned down that routine compared to bars where I've thrown the diapers at customers heads. I've never been barred from a bar before. I guess other owners can tell what objects actually hurt people." Nobody took to Facebook about this incident yet. But based on our personal bias, this is probably what they would write if this performers routine was widely known. Wow.... AI really made these anti alcoholics sound like they were wasted.... Mr. Diaper Hater was reportedly difficult to converse with after what was arguably the audiences favorite feature. Judging by his demeanor, it's understandable why he was nowhere to be seen most the evening. The act of no grace for harmless mistakes suggests that the large customer base is due to his chefs and not the character that was exhibited that evening. Experts from the University of Forgivable Mistakes state that if this is his usual demeanor, that he should never enter the kitchen in case his best complements to the chef instantly turn their food to mold. The owners last recorded words to the masterful comedian were..... We actually don't remember because the comedian kept yelling "LALALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" When the bar owner was trying to ban him for life. No joke... He litterally chased him to his car as the comedian ran shouting "I'm leaving! My diapers will be avenged! WUHAHAHAHA!" In all technicality, the comedian did not hear the bar owner, meaning he is not officially banned to his knowlege. This remains true until he returns to the property to hear it for real. He probably won't return to the property though since he doesn't want to hear those words. Also, he prefers bars that aren't surounded by ugly terrain. The Venango Republic reached out to the bar being accused of banning an upcoming legend. According to one staff member, the owner watched a video of the performance and actually considered the tossing of a diaper to be the same as "throwing them at customers." Experts say this failed analysis of an obvious toss only makes sense if the bar owner used same motion in highschool football. This explains why he now has a career in bar management instead of throwing passes to DK Metcalf. Given that he thought a toss is the same as a throw, we are left to wonder if he is ever in his sports bar during a professional game. If not, we then must ask what that suggests about his tolerance for people. As for the customers who recieved the unloaded diapers with open arms, they have completely recovered because diapers don't hurt people. You wouldn't see this as a result of last Saturday..... Courtesy of what people aparently think diapers can do Now, the greatest thing to ever happen to western Pensylvania must find another bar to do his performance at. With Karaoke being scarce, and only an average of 20 bars doing it every night, his hopes of bringing joy to customers is more limited thanks to the loss of a legitimately good venue. Good, as in the stage has a crowd worth performing for. We cannot recommend the service because the end result was aweful! As for the comedian, he says he will consult the owners of bars going forward before doing this routine. "I have done this a million times and can't imagine what went wrong." He expressed to himself as he wrote this. "Maybe the owner knows something I don't. Although I bought those diapers clean, one of them could have snuck out of the bag without my knowlege, climbed up my infant childs legs, waited to be pooped in, and snuck its way back into the bag. Perhaps that is why he was too mad to find his binky." The masterful comedian hopes to be able to perform at this venue again soon. Unfortunately, this article will probably ruin those chances for good.
